The G4KE is Hyundai-Kia's 2.4-litre Theta II engine: a naturally aspirated inline-four with multi-port fuel injection, a timing chain and an aluminium block with cast-iron cylinder liners.

What is the difference between G4KE and G4KD?
Both are Theta II engines. The G4KE is 2.4 litres and the G4KD is 2.0 litres, so the long blocks are not interchangeable. Check the engine code stamped on your block.
Is this G4KE a complete engine or a long block?
It is a long block: the assembled cylinder block and cylinder head with the crankshaft, pistons, camshafts and timing chain. Intake, fuel-system and electrical parts can be added to your quotation.
What warranty comes with the G4KE long block?
12 months. Coverage and conditions are written into your order.
Do I need to replace the timing chain when installing?
No. The long block is supplied with its timing chain and timing cover already fitted. Fit new gaskets and check the cooling and fuel connections when you install it.
